Fantasy Football: Rounds 4-6 Breakdown

My Picks:

4.43: Brandin Cooks | WR | LAR

5.54: Mark Ingram | RB | BAL

6.67: Sony Michel | RB | NE

Fantasy Football Analysis:

Now that you have your anchor, it’s time to branch out and start building out your supporting cast and at this point, it comes back to the idea of taking the best available on the board.

There are two receivers that I am heavily targetting in Round 4; 1A being Robert Woods and 1B being Brandin Cooks. Both are the WR1 and WR2 in one of the most electric offenses in the NFL and Woods comes with the higher floor, whereas Cooks arguably possesses the higher ceiling.

With Cooper Kupp back in the fold, I can see some targets being taken from Woods‘ floor, but I expect the deep ball to remain a priority for Cooks, who finished the 2018 season as a WR2 in over 50% of his games played (career-best).

Because I drafted 3 wide receivers in my last 4 rounds, it was time to look at the running back position and Mark Ingram seems like a sensible pick in the middle rounds. Not only is his touchdown potential through the roof, but he also goes from backing up Alvin Kamara, to starting on a run-first team as the #1 overall running back in terms of strength of schedule (per FantasyPros).

Speaking of touchdowns, drafting someone like Sony Michel in the middle rounds carries a bit of risk, but in the 3 playoff games for the Patriots last season, he rushed for 336 yards and 6 touchdowns. If he can maintain this level of priority in the backfield, he’ll crush his current ADP.

Priority Players that were sniped: Round 4 – Robert Woods (3 picks ahead of Brandin Cooks), Round 6 – Tyler Boyd (4 picks ahead of Sony Michel)
