Fantasy Football: Rounds 13-15 Breakdown

My Picks:

13.150: Peyton Barber | RB | TB

14.163: DeVante Parker | WR | MIA

15.174: New England Patriots | D/ST

Fantasy Football Analysis:

Punts, upside, and defense; that is really all you have to target throughout the final few rounds of your draft.

If you have the chance to lock up a starting running back in the last three rounds of your draft, I have a hard time passing that up, which led me to Peyton Barber. There have been rumblings that Ronald Jones could challenge him, but there are reports that Barber has “the inside track” on the starting running back role.

While the Tampa offense is nothing to write home about, getting this kind of depth this late is a great strategy.

DeVante Parker seems to be the same story every off-season; “This is the healthiest he’s ever been and he looks GREAT!”, followed by a massive regular season flop. This is the last time I will take a flyer on him. If a new coach (didn’t seem like he saw eye-to-eye with Gase) can get him on the field, that may be all he needs.

Finally, your last round should be reserved for your defense. Not your third to last round, your last round. The one exception here being the Chicago Bears D/ST, as they scored a whopping 55 more fantasy points than the DEF2 last season, an unprecedented difference.

If you miss out on the Bears (and don’t reach for them, either), then I recommend finding a top 10 defense in the last round.

Priority Players that were sniped: Round 13 – Chicago Bears D/ST (4 picks ahead of Peyton Barber)
