FanSided Fantasy Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Rounds 6-7

6.06 Tevin Coleman, San Francisco 49ers (RB3)

After five rounds of a 12-team league, I had just one running back on my roster. This is not typically my strategy, but I adjusted to the draft and waited it out. That being said, I had waited long enough.

Tevin Coleman was selected as RB28, which is eight spots lower than I currently have him ranked. He has proven to have the skillset to be a three-down back and just might be that in San Francisco

Coleman signed a two-year deal worth $10 million. It is concerning that both Jerrick McKinnon and Matt Breida are behind him, but I expect Coleman to get a majority of the work. He provides a lot more value in the passing game than Sony Michel, making this pick fairly simple. Also, I don’t want anything to do with the Patriots’ backfield.

7.07 Latavius Murray, New Orleans Saints (RB3)

Let me just start by saying that I completely expect Latavius Murry to take over the Mark Ingram role in the Saints’ offense. Murray hasn’t been in the most Fantasy Football-friendly situations throughout his career, but that is all going to change.

This is another pick that I didn’t even hesitate with. I knew that I was selecting a running back, and I wanted someone who was going to get touches every single week.

In 12 games last season, Mark Ingram finished as the RB29. At this time a year ago, we were aware that Ingram was going to serve a four-game suspension. His ADP remained at RB23 with this news. Do you know where Murray is currently being selected? RB34. This truly does not make a whole lot of sense and as long as Murray’s price stays down here, I’m going to keep on drafting him.
