Fantasy Football Mock Draft: First Round 11th Overall / Second Round 14th Overall

Target’s- I was hoping that Devante Adams would fall here, but once he went 9th it was really down to Julio Jones, Michael Thomas or Nick Chubb for me. If Adams had fallen I would have taken him and then the next best wide receiver left at pick 14.

Available Player’s- Nick Chubb,  Julio Jones, Michael Thomas, Joe Mixon, JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Conner, Dalvin Cook.

Selection- I went ahead and drafted Nick Chubb, as he should be the bell-cow till at least week 10 as Kareem Hunt is suspended for the first eight games and then they have a bye week 9. Grabbing Chubb almost guaranteed me Michael Thomas or Julio Jones at pick 14, as it was very likely that the 12th pick would grab a running back as his 12th or 13th selection.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Third Round 35th Overall / Fourth Round 38th Overall

Target’s- It was clear early in the third with a run on receivers that I was going to be taking a running back at the 35th pick. I was hoping that Kerryon Johnson or Aaron Jones would fall to me in the third round, but they went directly in front of me. As I stated above though, if one of the top-3 tight ends fell to me in the third round it was almost an automatic take.

Available Player’s- George Kittle, Adam Thielen, Leonard Fournette, Devonta Freeman

Selection- Knowing that Team Roggy took two running backs in the 1st and 2nd round I was for sure going to get Leonard Fournette or Devonta Freeman in the 4th round, as I wanted a bell-cow back here in the 3rd or 4th round. It made the decision even easier to take Kittle as I was guaranteed one of those top-15 running backs in the 4th.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Fifth Round 59th Overall / Sixth Round 62nd Overall

Target’s- After only grabbing one wide receiver in the first four rounds, I was hoping to grab back-to-back wide receivers in the 5th and 6th round. The best-case scenario here was Cooper Kupp and Tyler Lockett.

Available Player’s- Tyler Lockett, Tyler Boyd, Alshon Jeffery, Sammy Watkins, Corey Davis

Selection- Lockett was by far the best receiver on my board left once Kupp went several picks before me. The sixth round selection is where you have to be flexible in your drafts.

I frankly did not like any of the receivers in this area but had the opportunity to grab my #2 overall quarterback. I went ahead and pulled the trigger knowing that I have a ton of later round values at wide receiver that I really liked.
