Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Seventh Round 83rd Overall / Eighth Round 86th Overall

Target’s- With taking a quarterback and tight end before the 7th round this made it an absolute must to hammer receivers and running backs for the next several rounds.  I really needed to grab a receiver here and thankfully I had several that I liked such as D.J. Moore, C. Kirk, D. Pettis, and D. Westbrook.

Available Player’s- Dede Westbrook, Darrell Henderson, Royce Freeman, Austin Ekeler

Selection- As you can tell from my available selections, the wide receivers that I liked were running out. I was very happy to snag Westbrook with the 83rd overall pick adding another #1 wide receiver target wise for his team.

With my next pick and not liking any of the options at receiver, I went ahead and grabbed the highest upside running back at pick #86.

With Gurley’s knee issues and Sean McVay’s love of throwing the ball to his running backs, sign me up on the most dynamic rookie pass catcher in the draft. If Gurley’s knee continues to be an issue as it was last post season, Darrell Henderson is a league winning type pick here as the Rams running back is locked in to finish in the top-12.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Rounds 9-14

During the last six rounds of the draft, I am looking for explosive players or guys that are in a great situation should an injury or holdout happen.

9th Round Selection

Miles Sanders sat behind Saquon Barkley at Penn State and currently sits behind a slug who is a miserable offensive fit. Why you ask, well he already was unproductive for the Bears and the Eagles run the exact same system. I also believe that the Eagles will finish as a top-5 offense this season.

10th Round Selection

Geronimo Allison plays for the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers also plays for the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are currently looking for someone to take over as the #2 receiver in a very productive passing game that has had two players finish inside the top-15 at the position multiple times.

In the four games he finished, Allison caught 19 passes for 289 yards and 2 touchdowns which equates to 76 catches for 1,156 yards and 8 touchdowns, not too shabby for a 10th round pick.

11th Round Selection

James Washington– See above breakdown on Geronimo Allison.

If you need any more clarification, Antonio Brown finished as the number four receiver in 0.5 PPR while JuJu Smith-Schuster finished as the number nine in 2018.

12th Round Selection

Damien HarrisSony Michel has an arthritic knee issue and has missed camp time. The Patriots absolutely love to run the football and currently Damien Harris is handling 1st team reps at running back. The Patriots have had more than 15 rushing touchdowns 11 times since 2006 or 11 of 13 seasons.

13th Round Selection

Jamison Crowder– The Jets and Sam Darnold targeted the slot receiver the most of any receiving position last season. Crowder signed as a Jet in the off-season and plays strictly out of the slot, he has also been the most talked about player in camp thus far.

14th Round Selection

Andy Isabella– The Cardinals have one of the worst defenses in the league with one of the best offensive coordinators. The Cardinals drafted Andy Isabella in the 2nd round of the NFL draft and he runs a 4.31.

Last pick was grab the best defense for the time being and stream weekly.

Next. Offensive coordinator breakdown – Atlanta Falcons. dark

There you have it that is how I approach a fantasy football draft. I start off with a plan but deviate based on what happens around me, always take the best player available early and build out your teams with massive upside type players, all you need is for one or two of those to hit and its Championship.
