Fantasy Football Mock Draft Pick 10: Rounds 13-15

Round 13, pick 154: DK Metcalf –

People are kind of obsessed with this rookie because of his ridiculous physique and Russel Wilson is a great quarterback. I’m not that high on him but I will take him in the 13th round every time because he’s worth the risk.

He’s not a great route runner but he runs fast, he’s big, and he can get the deep ball. Those guys are really hard to start sometimes because their floor is often so low but their ceiling could be like 4 catches, 104 yards, 2 touchdowns which is insane. I’ll take that sort of potential this late in the mock draft and feel good about it knowing there really wasn’t much else around at this point.

Round 14, pick 159: C.J. Anderson –

The bowling ball himself. This man just came off of an incredibly impressive playoff run where he was doing so well that he (and some knee arthritis) held Gurley off to the bench.

He really was just killing everyone during this run and granted the Detroit Lions offensive line isn’t remotely the same…they did just cut Theo Riddick.

Not to mention, as much as I never would wish injury on anyone, you have to prepare for it. If we’re being realistic, Kerryon isn’t the biggest guy around and while he’s incredibly explosive, I don’t know that he can be a between the tackles workhorse type.

Matt Patricia is used to seeing someone like Legarrette Blount get a bunch of touchdowns for him so I’m banking on that a bit here with this late pick.

Round 15, pick 178: New Orleans Saints Defense –

The Saints defense is pretty underrated by your average person just looking at box scores and what have you. They’re a solid unit and the end up being on the field a bit more than others because their offense is so good.

I like them quite a bit this year along with other defenses like the Rams and Bears. Look for teams who are likely to get sacks and turnovers depending on the scoring in your league.
