Fantasy Football Mock Draft Pick 2: Rounds 7-9

Drew Brees

I never draft a QB early in fantasy football drafts, and this was earlier than I wanted to do so, but I couldn’t help but pull the trigger here on Brees.

Pairing him with Kamara gives me access to a large chunk of the New Orleans touchdowns every week, which was an elite offense last season. These two are great stacking mates in DFS, so why not stack them together on my season-long team, too?

Lamar Miller

Ugh, I definitely don’t love Lamar Miller here, but since I went after receivers after locking up my top two backs I really needed someone here and the pickings were slim.

Miller is a decent back who should still get the majority of the work for Houston this season, but he’s certainly not a guy I will have in my starting lineup that often. If one of my top two backs were to get hurt, I’d be looking to make a trade instead of rolling Miller out there every week.

Vance McDonald

The “Vanimal” is a stud who is poised for a huge year! I really didn’t need another tight end so soon, but with Hunter Henry‘s injury past, I felt like why not grab another solid tight end here for insurance and I may even just play him as my flex some weeks as I think he’s going to get a ton of targets from Big Ben in this Steelers passing game.
