Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 2019 FanSided pick 2 breakdown
By Dan Palyo
Fantasy Football Mock Draft Pick 2: Rounds 13-15
Chicago Defense
I know the cardinal rule is to not draft defenses until the last round, but with all my main backup spots already filled I wanted to grab the best defense out there for fantasy. The Bears defense was elite at creating turnovers last season with 36 in 16 games.
Their pass rushers can rack up sacks and cause fumbles as well as pressuring quarterbacks into bad throws and more interceptions.
Some guys prefer streaming defenses on a weekly basis, but in my opinion, having an elite defense like Chicago can be a real boon to your team.
Kenny Stills
Stills is a dynamic young receiver who has made some big plays early on in his career. The Dolphins offense should be improved this year, and while many are drafting injury-prone, underachieving Devante Parker, I’d rather have Stills as I think he emerges as the leader in yards and receptions for the Dolphins this year.
Frank Gore
The ageless wonder continues to be a solid NFL back even as he enters his age-36 season. He had 772 yards on the ground for Miami last year and his best average per carry in six years with 4.6. I have no idea how the RB situation is going to play out in Buffalo, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Gore emerged with a 12-15 carry role for the Bills this season.
Final Team
QB: Drew Brees, Jimmy Garoppolo
RB: Alvin Kamara, Derrick Henry, Lamar Miller, Frank Gore
WR: Chris Godwin, Calvin Ridley, John Brown, DaeSean Hamilton, Allen Robinson, Kenny Stills,
TE: Hunter Henry, Vance McDonald
Defense: Chicago Bears
