More weapons to work with

Another reason to be excited about Nebraska football is the fact that Frost will have some exciting new pieces to work with as he builds the kind of offense he wants.

One key returner will be junior JD Spielman has gone over 800 yards receiving in each of his first two seasons and if he wasn’t hurt at the end of 2018, he likely would have reached 1,000 yards.

Nebraska is going to have to replace guys like Stanley Morgan Jr. and Devine Ozigbo, however, there are some great candidates to do that in the 2019 recruiting class. One of those guys is Robinson, a wide receiver/running back that could be used like Rondale Moore at Purdue.

He was the top all-purpose back in the country and should be a matchup nightmare. Dedrick Mills, a former starting running back at Georgia Tech, also came to Nebraska from junior college and is making a strong impression in fall camp.

Beyond Robinson and Mills, other incoming freshmen like Jamie Nance, Demariyon Houston and Darien Chase could all make an impact and it’s safe to say this offense will be much more explosive than it was a year ago.
