7. Justin Fields – Ohio State

Former Georgia Bulldog Justin Fields opted to enter the transfer portal and find a new home with the Ohio State Buckeyes in the team’s first season without head coach Urban Meyer. The team hopes to continue Big Ten dominance under new head coach Ryan Day and hope Fields will fulfill his great potential.

Fields played sparingly behind starter Jake Fromm, but the former No. 2 overall recruit behind Lawrence has a chance to thrive in Day’s quarterback-friendly offense. Ohio State’s offense is the perfect fit for the dual-threat Fields who should immediately show he is a better fit for the team than with the Bulldogs.

The pressure comes in if Fields begins the season sputtering out of the gates. If he begins to struggle, ridicule from Georgia fans will enter his mind as will an uneasiness from Buckeyes fans. Another factor is if the young quarterback will be able to perform in big games, something he never got the chance to do at Georgia.

Fields is set for an abundance of media attention at the school, but if he struggles early, those who criticized his move to Ohio State will be heard.
