NFL DFS – Tight Ends

Noah Fant DEN TE

Denver fans were not only disappointed by Drew Lock looking like the second coming of Ryan Leaf last week, they were also hoping to see more from their first round pick, Noah Fant. However, an improved Lock should mean better production from the rookie tight end.

Jeff Heuerman and Jake Butt are both dealing with injuries and Fant will get another chance to show out Thursday night. The tight end position is so difficult to peg during preseason, that any player who is essentially a lock to be targeted multiple times is automatically one of the best options on the slate.

T.J. Hockenson DET TE

Next up is Noah Fant’s college teammate, T.J. Hockenson. Detroit signed Jesse James during the off-season, but they didn’t draft Hockenson to sit on the bench. If they expect him to produce in the regular season they’d be wise to get him as many reps as possible over the next couple of weeks.

The only downside to Hockenson is that he will likely be one of the higher owned tight ends, but like Fant, it’s hard to turn down one of the safer options at his position.

NFL DFS – Defense/Special Teams

Denver Broncos DST

The Broncos have two major things going for them heading into Thursday night’s matchup in Seattle. First, they have a game under their belt and should benefit from the experience gained from last week.

Second, they they will be squaring off against an offense led by the likes of Geno Smith and Paxton Lynch. Starting Denver’s defense really just boils down to how confident I am that those dumpster fire quarterbacks will make a few mistakes with the football.
