EPL DFS Breakdown – Saturday 8/10/2019

EPL DFS Mid-Tier Forwards/Midfielders
Gylfi Sigurdsson (Everton @ Crystal Palace, $16) – I’m guessing that Sigurdsson will be one of the most popular pivots off Tottenham. He’s one of the best midfielders, especially on this slate, at getting peripherals just purely due to the amount of time he spends with the ball at his feet.
Sigurdsson only played in one game against CP last season, and it did not go well for him as he only got 6.9 fantasy points. Crystal Palace was a tough defensive team at home last year, so as much as I like Gylfi on most weeks, this doesn’t seem like the time to play him despite his ability to get peripherals and his role in the offense.
Callum Wilson (Sheffield United @ Bournemouth, $16) – For the same $16 price tag, I much prefer Wilson over Sigurdsson. Wilson is the second most likely anytime goal scorer on the whole slate, which I’m sure most wouldn’t have been able to guess.
Wilson had a really nice season last year for Bournemouth with 14 goals and 9 assists, and he looks to be in prime position to improve again. Bournemouth loved to score goals at home last season (1.6 per game on average).
Wilson faces off against Sheffield United who are playing in their first EPL game since 2007.
Sheffield United gave up the least amount of goals in the Championship last year (0.9 per game), but this is going to be a tough away game for them against top competition. Ryan Fraser ($16) and Wilson combined well on the field last season and would make sense as a GPP mini stack on Saturday.
Luka Milivojevic (Everton @ Crystal Palace, $16) – If you read any of my EPL DFS Breakdowns last season, you will already know where I’m going with this one. Milivojevic had one of the most consistent floors out of all players last season.
He reached double digit fantasy points in his last 9 games of last season, going over 30 fantasy points 3 times as well. Milivojevic will literally get you any stat that counts for something on FanDuel including goals (most of which come as PKs). He was often overlooked last season, so if you want a low-owned guy who is very likely to give you a good game, he’s your man.
