FanDuel MLB DFS Breakdown: Sample Lineup and Overview
Here’s where I am going to break down my thought process on this slate for you. In cash games, I think you can get away with using Teheran instead of paying up for Buehler, so I am penciling him into my lineup.
My cash core of Dickerson, Springer, and Urshela are my first three bats I clicked in. Then I am looking for guys with solid floors, and you’ll see I have a number of leadoff hitters in this lineup with Cain, Fletcher, and possibly Carpenter in there, too. Brosseau is cheap and has hit lefties well this year for Tampa, while Gardner gives me another piece of that hot Yankee offense.
Pitcher: Julio Teheran
C/1B: Gio Urshela
2B: Mike Brosseau
3B: Matt Carpenter
SS: David Fletcher
OF: Brett Gardner
OF: George Springer
OF: Corey Dickerson
UTIL: Lorenzo Cain
In GPPs, my priority will be using Smyly to allow me as much cap space as possible to build some 4-man Yankees, Astros, and Padres stacks. These teams are all relatively expensive, though some of the Yankees that hit lower in the order are still relatively affordable.
My favorite GPP stack configuration is a 4-3-1, so I will likely have a lot of lineups with two of these teams stacked together and an elite one-off bat that I think can get me a home run.
