Fantasy football running back tiers 2019
Running Back Tiers: Tier Five – Part 2
Thunder Dan
Chris Carson – My favorite of the two-back committee in Seattle.
David Montgomery – Awesome athleticism, might still end up in a timeshare.
Devonta Freeman – Can he hold up health-wise? And will he be more than just a two down back?
Philip Lindsay – Broncos timeshare stinks because Lindsay is really darn good.
James White – A great guy to play in DFS in certain weeks, a hard guy to start every week in season-long fantasy.
Rashaad Penny – A really nice back, but I think Carson ends up getting more touches.
Royce Freeman – These Broncos backs are just going to cannibalize each others’ stats unless someone gets hurt. A good stash though.
Adam
Austin Ekeler/Justin Jackson – Jackson should not be forgotten in the Melvin Gordon equation. Ekeler will not inherit the MG role, and Jackson is going to be highly usable if the Chargers are without their star.
Tarik Cohen – If Montgomery takes over, Cohen has nothing outside the passing game to fall back on.
Tevin Coleman/Matt Breida – They’re going so far apart that I don’t mind snagging both and letting the backfield play out.
Rashaad Penny – Seattle runs the ball like basically no other team. Carson and Penny will both hold value at the same time this year.
Duke Johnson – Now a Texan, I’m not a believer of Miller. I think Johnson can take over.
Jaylen Samuels – This is speculative at this point, but the Steelers are involving him in the passing game to a major extent by some reports.
Darrell Henderson – I don’t always end up with him, and I don’t mind taking Malcolm Brown with my last pick. However, if Gurley falters, Henderson could win leagues.
Miles Sanders – He’s talented, but Doug Pederson scares me.
