Value Defenders

Chris Smalling (Chelsea @ Manchester United, $10) – The defensive value isn’t great on this slate either, but it is better than the value at other positions.  With Chris Smalling, you know what you’re getting.

You’re getting a decent fantasy defender who has a good shot at putting up a double-digit game.  Against Chelsea last season, Smalling had a 13 point game.  That’s what I’m expecting from Smalling on Sunday.

Paul Dummett (Arsenal @ Newcastle, $10) – On Sunday I’m looking for defenders who can give me some sure points.

Dummett ended last season with 8 out of 9 double digit fantasy performances.  This is a good matchup for Dummett, and I’ll gladly take another double digit game from him at this price.
