FanDuel MLB DFS Breakdown: Cash Core Bats

Max Kepler (4k)

Adam Plutko is a terrible pitcher who is hiding as a mediocre pitcher and I fully expect him to implode just about every time he takes the mound.

Kepler is having a great year and is a great cash game target just about every night when he faces a lousy righty on the hill. I love targeting leadoff hitters in cash games, but most importantly he has excellent home run potential every night, too.

Yordan Alvarez (4.3k)

Did someone say home runs? All this kid does is hit dingers with 14 now in only 186 at-bats. He absolutely crushes Brooks main pitches (sinker, slider, changeup) and has been raking against right-handed pitching since being called up a few months ago. Hitting right in the middle of this potent Astros lineup, he should have plenty of RBI opportunities tonight.

Dexter Fowler (2.9k)

Fowler is a nice source of salary relief tonight and another leadoff hitter we can target in cash games. He’s got six hits in his last four games and is always a threat to swipe a bag, too. He makes for nice, cheap exposure to the Cardinals tonight and I’ll talk more about stacking them here in my next segment on my favorite GPP team stacks.
