Fantasy Football: Rounds 7-9 Breakdown

My Picks:

7.76: D.J. Moore | WR | CAR
8.93: Kyler Murray | QB | AZ
9.100: Kalen Ballage | RB | MIA

Fantasy Football Analysis:

Getting D.J. Moore in the seventh felt criminal. His ADP in the NFFC is in the 47-52 range, and I was able to snag him at pick 76. I definitely wanted a piece of the Panther’s passing attack, and D.J. Moore is supposed to be the main target. Curtis Samuel is also having a solid camp, and in other drafts, I hope I end up with a chance to grab him in this same range.

I went ahead and got my Kyler Murray share in the eighth round. I was not able to get him in any of my previous drafts so seeing him in the eighth, I had to take the chance. He has top 3 potential at the QB position, but he also has complete bust potential as well.

We do not know what this Arizona offense will look like, but he will likely have to throw a lot because their defense is going to be pretty bad. Murray also brings a lot of upside running the ball and could easily score over 5 touchdowns on the ground this year.

I took Kalen Ballage in round nine to add to my running back depth. I reached a little on Ballage but I believe he will be used pretty regularly in the Miami offense. He will likely split the workload with highly talented Kenyan Drake, but Ballage should handle a lot of the goal line work. He can also catch passes so don’t be surprised if he is used that way this season by this coaching staff.

At this point I am really liking what I had been able to do. I am pleased with both my running backs and wide receivers, and I got my share of Kyler Murray.

I still needed to grab a starting TE and at some point, but by this time a lot of the top guys were taken. I was able to grab one from a high powered offense, as well as add more high risk high upside pieces over the next three rounds.
