2019 fantasy football quarterback rankings: Top 20
Fantasy Football Quarterback: 9-11
It’s never easy projecting what a rookie quarterback is going to be able to do, especially when there is a rookie head coach as well. The duo of Kyler Murray and Head Coach, Kliff Kingsbury, is as exciting as it gets.
Murray is a dual-threat quarterback that will be playing in a fast-paced offense making his situation very intriguing. He looked comfortable in the offense during the Cardinals’ preseason opener going 6/7 for 44 yards. Murray does carry some risk but could be a league-winner if it all falls into place in 2019.
Apparently, Matt Ryan only chooses to show up every other year. This leads to everyone being wrong on him as well. In 2016, Matt Ryan had an ADP of QB24 and finished the season as the QB2.
His high finish pushed his ADP the next year inside the top four quarterbacks, only for him to finish as QB15. The trend continued into last season, as the public faded Ryan yet again, only for him to finish as the QB2.
I think this teeter-totter of production we’ve seen over the past few seasons finally levels out. Ryan has a handful of strong receiving options which should allow him to remain a Top 10 Fantasy Football quarterback.
One of the best Fantasy Football values at the quarterback position is Kirk Cousins. His current ADP is QB20, though he has never finished worse than QB13 (2018) in his four years as a starter. Expectations were high for the $84 million man, and he did not completely live up them.
If Cousins is going to support both Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, the numbers are going to come with. Both receivers are currently being selected in the Top 40 picks in drafts. There is a real chance that last year is his floor, and I fully expect Cousins to become much more comfortable in year two as a Viking.
