2019 fantasy football quarterback rankings: Top 20
Fantasy Football Quarterback: 8-6
In the past two seasons, Carson Wentz has missed eight games due to injury. The Eagles parted ways with backup, Nick Foles, this past offseason and extended Wentz through the 2024 season.
He is set up for success with all of the weapons around him in one of the deeper offenses in the league.
They brought back DeSean Jackson and spent high draft picks on running back, Miles Sanders, and wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside. Wentz has hovered right around 20 fantasy points per game over the last two years. His injury history is a concern, but I’m willing to look past it.
It’s not too often that we see three wide receivers from the same team being drafted as WR25 or higher. The trio of Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, and Cooper Kupp is about as good as it gets. They all averaged over 10 fantasy points per game and provide Jared Goff with a high floor.
Goff finished the season as a top-eight Fantasy Football quarterback, finishing fourth in passing yards. If the Rams do reduce Todd Gurley’s workload, Goff could attempt even more passes. He is about as safe as it gets in this high-powered Rams’ offense.
The 2018 season did not go as Jameis Winston had planned. He was suspended for the first three weeks of the season and just about lost his starting job to Ryan Fitzpatrick. In 11 games as the starter, Winston averaged almost 18 fantasy points per game, which was the highest of his career.
Over the last six weeks of the season, he was the QB7 averaging 19 fantasy points per game. Winston also led the league in air yards per game. He’s another quarterback who is surrounded by play-makers in Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and O.J. Howard. Winston is being extremely undervalued as he is currently being drafted as the QB14.
