2019 fantasy football quarterback rankings: Top 20
Fantasy Football Quarterback: 3-5
Nobody made a bigger splash in the off-season than the Cleveland Browns. The trade that brought Odell Beckham Jr. to town shot Baker Mayfield up the rankings. When Freddie Kitchens, who is now the head coach of the Browns, took over as the OC last year, Mayfield played his best football.
Over the last seven games, Mayfield had the sixth-most fantasy points of all quarterbacks. Now he gains one of the games most electrifying wide receivers into the mix. The hype around Baker Mayfield is real, as it should be.
In his short two-year career, Deshawn Watson has been inside the top-four quarterbacks in fantasy points per game. Playing just seven games as a rookie, Watson led the league with just over 24 points per game.
This year, the Houston Texans expect to have a healthy Will Fuller, and Keke Coutee. The two of them played a combined 13 games. Their presence in the offense is going to give Watson two more talented pass catchers next to DeAndre Hopkins.
Watson was the top Fantasy Football quarterback over the final four games of the year. Jump on Watson if he falls, but do not reach for him at his current price (4th round).
Far and away the top Fantasy Football quarterback of 2018 was Patrick Mahomes. He became just the third player ever to pass for 50 or more passing touchdowns in a single season. Though regression is expected, Mahomes is still an elite talent.
Having Tyreek Hill for the full season will do wonders and he also has the best tight end in the league in Travis Kelce. This is a very similar offense minus Kareem Hunt, who caught seven receiving touchdowns in just 11 games.
Mahomes is currently the first quarterback being selected but is too expensive for my liking.
