MLB DFS Pitching Plays

Domingo German  – Domingo is a pitcher that I think has some great potential, and has flashed this potential on quite a few occasions this season. The last time he faced Baltimore, at home, German put up 52 FD points through seven innings.

With a 4.02 xFIP, 25.6% K rate, 41.3% GB rate, and 40% HC. Baltimore strikes out around 22.5% against RHP, hitting 43% GB. Domingo does better against RHH, and the lefties in the lineup are not great.

Pitch Mix  – He uses the fastball 40% of the time, curve 34%, and change 17%. The curve is his best pitch, getting around 45% whiffs on the year. The GB rate on the fastball was really good in his last start at 41%, the curve has been around 45% on the year as well.

The one thing that does trouble me is his ISO against both the fastball, and curve. The velocity is down on the fastball this year, which may explain the high ISO against it. Overall he still has to develop his pitches, increasing movement on the fastball especially will really help him.
