EPL DFS Value Defenders

Yerry Mina (Watford @ Everton, $12) – Mina is also fairly cheap on this slate.  If he keeps churning out 18 point performances like he did last week, his price will climb in no time as well.  Mina is a very physical and active defender who can get you all different defensive peripherals.

The ability to spread defensive peripherals out and not rely on a lot of just one category creates a good floor.  Last week against Brighton, both of Brighton’s center defenders went for over 20 fantasy points.  Mina has a good shot to do that as well on Saturday.

Jack Stephens (Liverpool @ Southampton, $10) – I don’t think I’ve ever written up Jack Stephens before, but there is a first time for everything.  Mostly I’m on Stephens this week due to price and match-up.

It’s well-known that center defenders on an underdog team are a viable target, and that’s exactly what makes Stephens appealing on Saturday.

One of Norwich’s center defenders went for 20+ fantasy points last week, and while expecting a 20+ point game from Stephens is a little much, I think he’s a good bet to get into double digits.  He’s cheap enough to use in any format.
