EPL DFS Goalkeepers

Adrian (Liverpool @ Southampton, $14) – It’s been an interesting few years for Adrian, but he seems to have found some playing time at Liverpool (at least temporarily).  First choice GK, Allison, will be out a few weeks with a calf injury.

Southampton struggled so hard to score last season that it almost got them relegated.  That trend continued last weekend when Burnley shut them out.

Liverpool will control possession and limit Southampton’s chances meaning Adrian won’t get many save points.  However, a win bonus is a near lock and a clean sheet is definitely in play on top of that.

Hugo Lloris (Tottenham @ Manchester City, $12) – You probably think I’m crazy writing up a GK on the road against City.  Well, I’m mostly chasing save points at a cheap price here.  A clean sheet and a win bonus are probably not likely, but Lloris should have a good floor just from save points.

Tim Krul (Newcastle @ Norwich, $10) – If you laughed at me for writing up Lloris, you’ll probably laugh more seeing me write up Krul.  However, Newcastle scored less than one goal per game on the road last season.  EPL DFSThey also failed to score last week at home against Arsenal.

Norwich isn’t a great defensive team, so Newcastle will still create opportunities.  If Krul and Co. can keep Newcastle from scoring, he’ll have a massive fantasy game.
