NFL DFS preseason week 2: Biggest storylines and DFS picks for all 32 teams
NFL DFS Preseason Week 2
Saints @ Chargers
Three things stand out for the Saints this preseason. The backup QB battle behind Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill, the battle for the #3 and #4 receiver slots behind Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn Jr and whether or not their defense is going to regress.
Lil’ Jordan Humphrey (great name) lead the way among the receivers in Week 1 and will continue to compete with Travin Dural, Austin Carr, Cyril Grayson Jr, Tre’Quan Smith and Rishard Matthews for the handful of spots available.
With Melvin Gordon‘s status completely up in the air, the Chargers were pleased to see a solid performance by Justin Jackson and Austin Ekeler in Week 1 and are in a better position then most teams would be if their franchise RB held out. With their receiving corp a little thin, watch for Artavis Scott to stand out as a new option for Philip Rivers.
Players to consider in NFL DFS Preseason Week 2: Taysom Hill (QB-NO)
Seahawks @ Vikings
Russell Wilson and many of the starters are expected to play on Sunday night vs. the Vikings for the first time this season. There is some excitement around the Seahawks offense this season going into the second year under OC Brian Schottenheimer who plans on ‘opening up the playbook’.
How many series Wilson and the starters will play is still unknown and I am sure we will get another good look at Paxton Lynch who is solidifying his campaign to be the #2 behind Wilson. Two receivers to keep an eye on are Jazz Ferguson (another great name) and D.K. Metcalf, the exciting rookie who only reeled in one ball last week for 8 yards.
The Vikings will continue to get a good look at their running back depth, coming off of a 34-25 win vs. the Saints where their RBs put up 205 yards led by Mike Boone and Ameer Abdullah. My favorite receiver to keep an eye on the rest of the way would be Bisi Johnson who made an impressive TD catch in New Orleans…
Players to consider in NFL DFS Preseason Week 2: Xavier Turner (RB-SEA), Jazz Ferguson (WR-SEA), Mike Boone (RB-MIN), Bisi Johnson (WR-MIN)
49ers @ Broncos (Monday Night)
All eyes will be on Jimmy Garoppolo on Monday night as he makes his triumphant return to the gridiron after his ACL tear in the 2018-19 season. With competent and competitive backups in C.J. Beathard and Nick Mullens battling for the #2 role, it will be important to see how ‘Jimmy G’ looks on his knee.

Two other major questions remain for San Francisco; who will step up following the slew of injuries to expected roster pieces and starters and who will rise out of the wide receiver corp behind Marquise Goodwin from the crew of Dante Pettis, Richie James Jr, Jalen Hurd, Kendrick Bourne, Jordan Matthews and others.
The success of the Broncos will lie on the shoulders of Joe Flacco and the young core expected to make a leap from last year including Phillip Lindsay, Royce Freeman and Courtland Sutton who will compete with Emmanuel Sanders for the #1 spot in Flacco’s offense.
I’ll also be interest to see if they get more reps for Khalfani Muhammad on Monday night like they did in the Hall of Fame game vs. the Falcons.
Players to consider in NFL DFS Preseason Week 2: Austin Walter (RB-SF), Richie James Jr (WR-SF), Drew Lock (QB-DEN)
