Fantasy Football: Bold Predictions and Hot Takes

Zeke Zeke Zeke…secure the bag baby! I love Ezekiel Elliott as the pride of my Buckeyes national championship and the guy who absolutely carved up Alabama. He’s continued that amazing run by really destroying the league. Did you know that before his hold out, he could EASILY be argued as the deserving fantasy football number 1 overall pick ahead of McCaffrey and Saquon?

Last season after Amari Cooper came to the Cowboys, Zeke was actually getting as many targets on a week to week basis as McCaffrey AND he ended the season with over 300 carries and over 2000 yards from scrimmage.

That is INSANE. My piping hot take here is sort of a two for one – Zeke misses 4 games before the Cowboys realize they need him (even though I do subscribe to the running backs don’t matter philosophy) and still finishes the season as a top 2 running back.

My final fantasy football hot take involves a guy coming off of a devastating injury last year – Emmanuel Sanders. We’re hearing now that Manny Sanders, only 8 months removed from an Achilles injury which is normally a death knell in just about any pro athlete’s career, is actually looking to get some reps in preseason!

That’s seriously crazy if you look at Achilles injuries historically. As of now, Manny is being drafted as the 46th wide receiver which puts him in the 10th round. I said it about Jordan Reed and I’m going to say it here – when you get into double digit rounds for your draft, you can and should take some risks.

However, I would not advise taking both Reed and Sanders (and multiple guys coming off injury or often injured). Please don’t be the all IR team. That’s the worst feeling.  Anyways…my final hot take is that Emmanuel Sanders will put up over 1000 yards receiving and 6+ touchdowns with the one and only elite Joe Flacco. Go off king.
