4. Moise Kean scores first Premier League goals as Everton beat Watford

Everton are a team that have consistently disappointed in recent seasons but it looks like they could be getting to a place where their fans want them. The signings of Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean are not only two great reasons to go and watch the Toffees but also a sign of intent from the Merseyside club.

The Toffees had a tough start with an away fixture at Crystal Palace but they came out of that with a point – maybe not what Everton fans would have wanted but any points on the road are crucial.

This weekend Marco Silva’s side host Watford at Goodison Park. Watford had an embarrassing start to the season as they were torn apart by Graham Potter’s new look Brighton side. Javi Gracia will be looking for a much better performance from his side but they could struggle against Everton.

The Toffees have slowly but surely built a talented squad and this feels like the season that they could be putting pressure on sixth place. They have the players to do it and they just need consistent backing from the fans as well as belief in their ability to play free-flowing soccer.

At home, this Everton team should stand a good chance against anyone in the league. Watford will struggle to come into this match with confidence and the Toffees can exploit that. If Everton start fast then this game could be over by half-time.

Hopefully Marco Silva gives Moise Kean his first start after only bringing him off the bench last week at Selhurst Park. The young Italian striker is an undeniable talent who has a natural eye for goal. It’s a bit of a coup for Everton to have brought Kean in from Juventus, especially when the striker was starting to make a name for himself in Serie A.

The Italian will bag a double either side of a Richarlison goal. Watford will notch a late consolation but never truly threaten Jordan Pickford’s goal.
