EPL DFS – Mid-Tier Forwards/Midfielders

Tammy Abraham (Leicester @ Chelsea, $14) – Some of you are probably wondering if my Chelsea bias is kicking in with 3 of the first 4 names being Blues.  Maybe it is, but I don’t see a ton of better options on this 2-gamer.  Abraham struggled to get involved at times last week, but he did have a nice shot that went straight off the post.  Abraham didn’t have a great game on Wednesday either, but he does have the highest odds at scoring on this whole slate.  Leicester gave up nearly 1.5 goals per game on the road last season, so Chelsea should make it on the scoresheet this time around, and I think it comes from Abraham.

David McGoldrick (Crystal Palace @ Sheffield United, $14) – I want some Sheffield exposure on Sunday, but it has to be cheap.  I have a hard time convincing myself to pay up for Billy Sharp ($16) off the bench or Callum Robinson ($16) when I can get McGoldrick for cheaper.  McGoldrick has the highest odds of any Sheffield starter to score against Palace on Sunday.  Although Palace was a solid defensive team at home last year, they did give up nearly 1.6 goals per game on the road.  However, since McGoldrick doesn’t get defensive peripherals often, he’s best left as a goal-or-nothing GPP target on Sunday.

Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester @ Chelsea, $14) – I’m expecting a Leicester/Chelsea game stack to be popular, and Ndidi should fit into that stack well no matter who else you roster.  Ndidi is really good at getting defensive peripherals regardless of opponent.  I think that this game gets stretched and becomes very open, which should create tons of opportunities for Ndidi to get those peripherals.  He’s a good piece of this game stack no matter the format.  For the same price, Youri Tielemans ($14) has a higher ceiling with his attacking ability, but a lower floor with less peripherals.
