MLB DFS Pitching Plays

As we always do, I will rank each pitcher mentioned in my article between a 1-10, I will also mention my “gem of the day” which is a mid-low tier arm that I think has the most upside. There are several ways to approach these slates.

On a slate with this type of pitching, you need to figure out what will be the best fit for the type of bats that you would like to play. I really do not like the value options on this slate, so my suggestion would be to decide on one of these top tier arms, and pick some great value hitters.

I will also mention that Sonny Gray would have been my fifth pitcher had I wrote up five pitchers for this slate. Yes the price tag is steep, but very few pitchers are getting close to as many swinging strikes as Sonny is. His slider is down right filthy, and the Padres have a very high K rate to RHP. He makes for an excellent tourney play, and should rack up around ten strikeouts with ease.

MLB DFS Pitcher Rankings;

Clayton Kershaw – 9

Shane Bieber – 9.5

Stephen Strasburg 8.5

Aaron Sanchez – 7

Honorable mention Sonny Gray – 9

Gem of the day – With limited value and mid tier pitchers we will pick a high end gem, of Shane Bieber

If you guys have any questions please feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @LumberjackDFS, this is a great slate for pitchers which I am very excited to play.

A good bit of advice is to run these plays in different tourney lineups, with various stacks, and correlate your lineups to maximize your chances of winning a tourney. Best of luck to all from all of us here at FanSided Fantasy.
