MLB DFS – Building Our Bats:

As the other writers at FanSided Fantasy can attest, I am a big proponent of staying “on brand” with Picks and Pivots. I very rarely get cute with the reads on slates, I am not going to try and “get weird” by stacking the Orioles or Pirates or some other terrible offense – I focus on the best offenses in baseball and attack them heavily when they go up against bad pitching.

There was nothing sneaky about the Dodgers last night but you know what happened come lock – three of the six batters in my Dodgers stack were single-digit owned in GPP play, including Will Smith, Joc Pederson and Chris Taylor who all went for 20+ fantasy points.

Guess what? There is nothing sneaky about them tonight and I see no reason to move off them this evening after putting up 16 runs on Toronto and forcing them to burn through 7 arms. The best part? Today is a Wilmer Font/bullpen day for Toronto one night after having to drain their bullpen – yeah, this could be another bloodbath.

As was the case on Monday, this Dodgers stack is affordable, with Cody Bellinger ($9.5K) being the most expensive while having salary relief options like Joc Pederson ($7.7K) and Corey Seager ($8.1K) included to help balance out the stack.

The reality is, with Houser as your SP2, you can pick and choose essentially any 6 man Dodgers stack you want here and with the Blue Jays having a bullpen day, ignore splits and just build around the best hitters.

Just as an example, if you build with Verlander and Houser and stack the top 6 in the Dodgers projected line-up – Joc, Muncy, Turner, Bellinger, Pollock and Seager – you STILL have $7.6K per player for the last two spots in your build.

All in on the Dodgers again. Stack. It. Up.
