MLB DFS Pitching Plays

Patrick Corbin  – Corbin is back in action and draws a favorable match-up against the Pirates. With a 3.69 xFIP, 28.5% K rate, 47.4% GB rate, and 37% HC. Pittsburgh struggles to hit LHP, with a .161 ISO, 20% K rate, and almost a 50% GB rate.

Yes, his numbers are worse against RHH, but the Pirates really do not have any big power threats against LHP. I really have no problem locking in Patrick in tourneys, and I fully expect him to have a great game.

Pitch Mix  – He will see a lot of righties, and he uses the sinker, and slider the most against them at 30% each, mixing in the change, and fastball. The change and slider are getting over 40% whiffs, but the change, and sinker are getting crazy grounders at well over 50% each.

I do like the horizontal movement on the sinker, sitting at nine inches, the change is at seven inches. They both get duel movement, as well at around six inches vertically. I really do not see any reason if playing multiple lineups that you shouldn’t plug in Corbin at least one time.
