Slate Overview: Whenever I do this sample lineup and first look builds, my thought process is always the same – what are the underlying priorities that I MUST have in my build and that I am unwilling to bend on?

Tonight, getting Cole and a high upside 6 man stack is the key and while pairing Cole and his Astros teammates seems ideal, the pricing is such that it simply cannot work. Pivoting to a Dodgers stack that just continues to be overlooked each night this week gives you a high upside stack to pair with Cole that can give you the power upside to win on any given night.

What it means by prioritizing Cole/Dodgers is you have to find a cheap SP2 and some one-off punts.

Finding cheap hitters on FantasyDraft is always pretty easy honestly and with guys like Khris Davis ($6.4K) at these low price points (after homering last night by the way), you really do not even need to pure punt with the Jeff Mathis types of the world.

So it leaves you with a build where you feel pretty good about Cole/Dodgers and 1-2 cheap bats however it puts your SP2 hopes in a guy with a slate low 14% K rate in Ross Detwiler. While I do not have NEARLY the confidence in Detwiler that I did with Houser last night, the roster approach is one that I think we can go back to and hope that the ground ball ability and high K match-up gives us an SP2 path that allowed us double-digit points where Cole and our bats can carry us.

Good luck all!
