NFL Preseason Week 3: DFS Picks for Thursday, August 22nd
Packers @ Raiders
Green Bay Packers: This weeks exciting ‘off-site’ match up is between the Packers and Raiders who will be squaring off in Winnipeg, Manitoba, home of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL) among others.
Aaron Rodgers appears fit for the trip but will be a game-time decision according to head coach Matt LaFleur. Either way, it appears Packers backup QB Deshone Kizer will get plenty of run on Thursday night and is a formidable DFS option, especially if he is able to play with some of the starters. The wide receiver battle is furious in Green Bay and tonight should be a good test with or without Aaron Rodgers including guys like Trevor Davis and Jake Kumerow.

Oakland Raiders: It’s tough not to watch every second of the Raiders preseason rooting for particular players on their pre-cut roster during the chronicles of ‘Hard Knocks’. With the up-and-down storyline and saga of Antonio Brown developing (mostly) on and off screen thru the entirety of the preseason, the Raiders have to remain focused on the serious task of whittling down their roster.
The backup QB battle between Mike Glennon and Nathan Peterman mixed with a dosage of Derek Carr will continue this week and hopefully will be irrelevant in the long run as long as Carr can stay healthy.
What I am most interested in during Thursday’s matchup vs. the Packers will be watching rookie Josh Jacobs, undrafted rookie Keelan Doss and any sort of development for Darren Waller, who has become an underdog that everyone is rooting for and fantasy/DFS players will be keeping an eye on…
Players to use in DFS: Deshone Kizer (QB-GB), Jake Kumerow (WR-GB), Josh Jacobs (RB-OAK), Keelan Doss (WR-OAK)
