Fantasy Football Denver Broncos Passing Game Impact:

With the acquisition of Joe Flacco and young playmakers on offense, the passing game could take some time to get clicking in Denver. The one thing we can be sure of with a defensive-minded head coach in Vic Fangio, the Broncos will lean heavily upon its running backs. This includes them in the passing game, as Joe Flacco throws to his running backs at 23.2% clip which is the third-highest rate in the league according to Scott Barrett at Pro Football Focus.

I do like the pieces they have at receiver with DaeSean Hamilton, Tim Patrick, Courtland Sutton and rookie tight end Noah Fant, but with Flacco at the helm it will be hard for this passing game to do much as he has failed to throw for more than 27 touchdowns at any point in his career averaging just 16 over the past four years. If the Broncos can get a healthy Emmanuel Sanders that is an added bonus as the dynamic receiver ruptured his Achilles just eight months ago.

Fantasy Football Denver Broncos Running Game Impact:

The running game will determine the success of the Denver Broncos this season. It is led by two fantastic young players in Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman. I think Scangarello will be more balanced than Shanahan was and eclipse the 432 carries on average per season.

I also look for this backfield to be split more evenly this season compared to the 192 by Lindsay and 130 by Freeman. I would anticipate both of these players combine for roughly 400 carries while Lindsay is much more involved in the passing attack.
