Tottenham face Newcastle at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, Aug. 25. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

In their third game of the season, Tottenham host Newcastle on Sunday. Spurs have four points in their first two games, after a draw with Manchester City last weekend. Newcastle are one of four teams that have not picked up a point in their first two games.

Tottenham might have got lucky against City. The Citizens had a goal taken off the board thanks to a VAR review. Spurs were outplayed but anytime a team can take points off of City, it is an accomplishment.

Harry Kane has two goals this season and will likely be among the top scorers in the Premier League again this season if he can stay healthy. Kane will likely get his running mate back on Sunday as Heung-min Son is expected to return from injury. Son’s speed was missing against City. The South Korean winger scored 12 goals and added seven assists last season. The return of Son will make an already talented Spurs attack even more dangerous.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is among the most hated owners in the world. Ashley has spent as little as possible and showed little ambition since buying the club in 2007. Before Ashley arrived, Newcastle had enjoyed 14 seasons in the Premier League, routinely finishing in the top seven and never coming close to relegation. In the 12 seasons under Ashley, the club has been relegated twice and only finished better than 10th place once.

Although the season is only two games old, it looks like it will be another long season for Newcastle. The Magpies’ weak defense will be tested by Tottenham’s attack, while Allan Saint-Maximin and Joelinton will lead the attack and try to justify the high fees that Newcastle paid for both players in the summer.

Tottenham have won four straight Premier League games against Newcastle. The Magpies have not defeated Spurs since the 2015-16 season when they won both games against Tottenham.
