MLB DFS – Building Our Bats:

Going high/low at pitcher on this slate will allow you the salary flexibility to build around one high-dollar stack and while the offense, by and large, is tough to come by on this slate, I think that focusing on a power heavy stack like the Milwaukee Brewers against RHP Adam Wainwright, is a way to shoot for GPP winning upside.

The story on Wainwright remains the same, he is tough against righties but gets hit hard by left-handed batters, to the tune of a .226 ISO, 45% HC rate and a 1.7 HR/9. The Brewers are the exact kind of line-up that you want against Waino, loaded with left-handed power including 5 in the projected line-up with a .200+ ISO mark against RHP this season.

Locking in as many lefties as you can seem like the best starting point as studs like Christian Yelich, Mike Moustakas and Yasmani Grandal would be core plays and adding on Eric Thames and Trent Grisham become ways to take advantage of the splits in this spot. If you are going to go all-in on this offense then it makes sense to add in Keston Hiura ($10.8K) despite the R/R match-up and his slate high price tag.

Hiura has a .319 ISO against RHP this season, trailing only Christian Yelich for the team lead and has a .333 ISO against the sinker and a .304 ISO against the curveball which are the two primary weapons for Wainwright when facing a RHB.
