Fantasy Football: High Stakes FFPC Draft Pick 7

For reference, here is the DRAFT BOARD

Once the draft fills, you find out the pick order. We were a bit concerned about having pick 7 because it’s in the middle of a 12 man snake which is never fun but also concerned about who would be falling to us there. We REALLY wanted Kelce to somehow fall because again, TE premium 1.5 PPR. However, we were more than happy to have the Zeke decision taken out of our hands and were able to take Davante Adams. There was some concern about the Cardinals offensive line which really has us uncomfortable with David Johnson.

On the way back in round 2, we were thrilled to see some running backs heading our way that we like quite a bit. Myself and another friend of mine are both Steelers fans and yet we still voted to pick Chubb with our second pick despite Conner being there. This league’s playoffs start week 11 so we know Hunt coming back won’t hurt us until we’ve at least made it there plus we love the Cleveland offense and the big play ability of Chubb. Don’t get me wrong, Conner is amazing, but Chubb seems like he can break one-off at any moment.

Our third pick was really between Kerryon Johnson and Leonard Fournette. At the end of the day, I’ll admit I was swayed by a clip of Fournette from the night before our draft catching a pass and mowing guys over. I like Kerryon a lot don’t get me wrong but I could easily see them taking away his goal-line work. At the end of the day, to get a guy like Fournette in the third had us feeling pretty happy.

Come to round 4 and I’m thinking we should probably take another wide receiver or a good tight end. However, the top 3 tight ends were already gone and we were absolutely blown away that Marlon Mack had fallen to us in the middle of the 4th. Mind you this was before the Andrew Luck news and right after some reports coming out that Hines is less likely to take away third-down work. Even after the Luck news, I have to say, I don’t hate Mack in the mid 4th round.
