Fantasy Football: High Stakes FFPC Draft Pick 7

For reference, here is the DRAFT BOARD

Well, we said we didn’t want to pick a quarterback high. And then we kinda did. I’m the type to wait around REALLY late and take someone like Phillip Rivers, Big Ben, Lamar Jackson etc. All three of those guys could easily get you to the promised land. Funny enough Tom Brady went in the very last round. Anyways…we decided our best player available in the 9th was Matty Ice. Matt Ryan has a really strange schedule this year where he’s playing an inordinate amount of games in a dome – where he happens to really excel. There were already 6 other quarterbacks off the board and although I was really hoping for Matt Breida to come back in the 10th, Matt Ryan was a fine pick here. I think…

Peyton Barber is not a guy I particularly like by any means. However, if you can get a starting running back in a good offense in the 10th round, you probably should do it. Justin Jackson was a guy who went shortly afterward that I’m regretting not taking here, to be honest but I’m fine with Barber to hopefully fill in on bye weeks for the 3 workhorses we drafted earlier.

On the way back, I didn’t particularly care to reach for another tight end given the ones left so we went with Michael Gallup. My guy Manny made fun of him SO much last year but reports are he’s doing really well in camp and had a great offseason. I’m expecting him to have an impact on a solid Cowboys offense that looks to be without Zeke for the time being. Quite frankly I love this pick for us in the 11th.

Rounding it out we were able to grab Jimmy Graham. What an unbelievably disappointing talent am I right? I know A-Rod doesn’t really target his tight ends and maybe he will in a new offense but man…this guy was unbelievable in New Orleans and then just fell off the map aside from one 10 touchdown effort in Seattle. Let’s hope he picks it up because Vance isn’t known for his durability. I wanted Tyler Eiffert really bad and before the 184031th concussion, I also wanted Jordan Reid as low-risk high reward guys. Unfortunately, both went before where I was comfortable getting them.
