FanDuel MLB DFS Breakdown: Top GPP Stacks

Obviously, both offenses in Coors are in play today. But here are my three favorite non-Coors stacks on tonight’s slate!

L.A. Angels vs. Ariel Jurado

As I mentioned earlier, Jurado has shown reverse splits this season allowing a higher wOBA and ISO to righties. That’s bad news for Jurado as the Angels have a lineup full of good right-handed hitters with Trout, Fletcher, Upton, and Pujols. His fly-ball rate is also higher to lefties, which is ideal for the uppercut swings of Shohae Ohtani and Kole Calhoun. The Angels ballpark has been a good hitters’ park this season and I like their chances at putting up a lot of runs at home tonight against Jurado and the poor Texas pen behind him.

Washington Nationals vs. Asher Wojciechowski

Speaking of poor bullpens, the Orioles have one of the worst in baseball. The Nats somehow were skunked last night by groundball magician Aaron Brooks who pitched one of the best games of his career, but I don’t think we see Wojo replicate that performance tonight. He has huge fly ball rates and terrible numbers against lefties, making my preferred stack Eaton-Soto-Adams with one other righty mixed in (Robles, Turner, and Rendon are all possibilities).

Minnesota Twins vs. Ross Detwiler

The Twins have the highest ISO rating on the slate and their lineup is a threat to hit multiple homers pretty much every time out. Detwiler is coming off his best start of the season, but still holds a .414 wOBA to righties and is not missing many bats with only a 17% strikeout rate. The Twins have a healthy implied run total of 5.7 which is one of the highest outside of Coors today. I like their right-handed power hitters a lot in this spot with Cruz and Sano being the two obvious choices. Also consider Garver, Cron, and Schoop who have great ISO ratings against lefties as well.
