Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence vs. Georgia Tech

Coming off a sensational freshman season, Trevor Lawrence heads into 2019 as one of the biggest stars in college football. The aura around Lawrence has hit monstrous proportion as people like Urban Meyer have declared him the best quarterback in the country already.

Look for Lawrence and the Clemson Tigers to be at the head of the playoff discussion which will undoubtedly put him in the Heisman discussion.

Lawrence is poised put up huge numbers not only because he’s a great player himself, but because he has elite weapons too. Clemson is starting perhaps the best wide receiver duo in the country with Tee Higgins and Justyn Ross. Then with Travis Etienne in the backfield, it will force defenses to stay honest and allow Lawrence to play without eight in coverage. The Tigers will also benefit from a lighter schedule in the ACC so the numbers should come easily for him.

His week one matchup against Georgia Tech is an excellent example as they are a team in transition and heavily outmatched talent-wise. Lawrence should be able to get his Heisman campaign off to a good start as this game should not be very close.
