Top MLB DFS Hitters – 2B

Max Muncy  – As mentioned earlier, the Dodgers could be lower owned than normal today. Muncy however may be one of the more popular plays at second base. He has been crushing RHP, with a .274 ISO, 40% FB rate, and 45% HC. I also feel like if you are willing to pay $200 less for Frazier just because he is at Coors, than you should just go up to Muncy who is light years ahead of Frazier in terms of skill.

Freddy Galvis  – Galvis is far too cheap for his recent output. He has a solid .213 ISO, 40% FB rate, and 38% HC against RHP. Robert Duggar has been downright horrible in very small sample size, giving up an unreal amount of HC to LHH. If we really want to look into this spot, Miami is not the best ballpark for hitters, but I tend not to focus too much on that factor. Galvis will go overlooked and is a great value play.

Top MLB DFS Hitters – 3B

Nolan Arenado  – Nado is going to be a very popular play at third base. Trevor Williams is not a good pitcher, he gives up a .223 ISO, and 40% FB to RHH, which does not bode well for Coors Field. The HC is only 30% to them, but Nolan has a 42% HC rate against RHP. I really like the idea of a Arenado, and Story mini stack today.

Eugenio Suarez  – Suarez has been destroying the ball lately and is approaching the 40 home run mark. He has a .261 ISO, 43% FB rate, and 45% HC against RHP. In that small sample, Duggar has been very bad against both sides of the plate. Suarez will be a good GPP pivot off of Arenado.

Jose Osuna   – I can’t see myself paying up for Moran, but FanDuel priced Osuna at just above 3k, and he is an equally good option. He has actually been hitting RHP better, with a massive .319 ISO against them. Chi Chi might be worse against lefties, but he is still bad against righties. The problem is he gets a lot of GB, at a 50% clip. If the ball goes in the air, it’s going out.

Top MLB DFS Hitters – SS

Trevor Story  – Story has been red hot since the all-star break. His numbers are very similar to Arenado, and are actually a little bit better in regards to hitting RHP. He has a .270 ISO, 40% FB rate, and 44% HC against them. I already talked about how bad Williams is, and that Pirate bullpen is equally as bad, making Colorado one of the top stacks on the day.

Corey Seager  – Corey has been improving as the season has gone on. Suffering an injury early on, he struggled to bounce back for quite a while. He has boosted his numbers in the past month, with a .239 ISO, 43% FB rate, and 40% HC against RHP. The price is right on Seager.

Amed Rosario  – This is the second Met that I really like today. I neglected to mention Todd Frazier, mostly due to his poor recent form, but he is still a fine play for his price. Rosario, however, is a great option at this shortstop position. He does not hit many FB, but does have a 38% HC rate, and .235 ISO against LHP. This is my favorite point-per-dollar play at the position.
