Cesaro Section

After Raw on Monday, WWE shared a video interview with a plane-bound Cesaro. He was asked about his plans for his trip to China, to which Cesaro cut off the disembodied interviewer and said, “Not. Just. China.” Turns out, because the two places are so close to each other geographically, Cesaro will be making a stop in Wales to check out Llandaff Cathedral, and then if there’s time, NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff.

How fortunate that his flight to China has one of those layovers in Cardiff that are all the rage among international travelers these days! Everyone is always saying, “if you’re traveling to China, make sure you book a little layover in Cardiff, Wales along the way, really get that full cultural experience.” Whether or not that’s a real saying, Cesaro will still be in Wales for TakeOver: Cardiff, taking a “hands-on” approach with the NXT UK brand.

The question then is, what exactly will Cesaro get up to while on his visit? Joe Coffey wants a go even though he’s about to wrestle a Last Man Standing match on Saturday. James Drake and Zack Gibson may have found someone they are actually willing to defend their titles against. Kassius Ohno has shut down the possibility of a Kings of Wrestling reunion, which means a Kings of Wrestling reunion might actually be what happens. With all of these people lining up to fight him though, you’ve got to be concerned for Cesaro’s front teeth that are finally fixed. Would be a shame for him to lose them again so soon!

Whatever he does it’ll rule, because Cesaro rules and deserves all the championship reigns. It would be something tragically funny if he ends up replacing Travis Banks, much like Finn Balor replaced Banks at TakeOver: Blackpool. Damn, if that happens, Cesaro might uppercut Noam Dar all the way to Swansea.

That will do it for this week’s recap of NXT UK. Who will be the champions be walking out of Cardiff? What do you hope Cesaro gets up to on his wrestling vacation? Does breaking a losing streak by winning over a guy also on a losing streak really elevate Jordan Devlin to No. 1 contender?
