Undervalued Fantasy Football ADP Targets

Target No. 3

T.Y. Hilton was being drafted in the second or third round of every fantasy draft until the shocking news broke that Andrew Luck is retiring. While that will affect Hilton’s fantasy stats for sure, he has dropped all the way to the end of the fourth round, or even the early-fifth round. Hilton is an excellent value at that price.

Remember, although Luck will be missed, Jacoby Brissett is an adequate quarterback. More than that, the offensive system is a good one, and the offensive line is much improved compared to 2017 when Luck was forced out with injury and Brissett took over. On top of all that, Hilton is hands down still the No. 1 receiver on the team and should be peppered with lots of targets. It is difficult to find a No. 1 in the late fourth round, and Hilton is an all-around great wide receiver.

Target No. 4

Another great target is Sony Michel. Michel has the potential to score double-digit touchdowns for the Patriots, yet he has fallen all the way to fifth round – and sometimes the sixth. The reasons are understandable.

For one, Belichick is infamous in fantasy football circles for his unwillingness to commit to a certain workload for each of his running backs. He smartly changes his game plans as needed. Secondly, Michel is coming off minor knee surgery and battled knee issues last season. However, with those concerns on the table, Michel still has enormous upside, particularly down the fantasy football stretch, since the Patriots lean on the run more and more as the weather turns cold.

Target No. 5

O.J. Howard is another excellent target. For some reason, he has been falling into the late-fifth or sixth round in many recent drafts. With the scarcity of high-end talent at the tight end position, this trend is even more surprising.

With Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson in new locations, Howard should be the third-most targeted receiver on the Bucs (behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin). With Arians bringing his new offensive system to town, the team should have a more effective overall offense than last season. Howard has the potential to be a league-winner if things fall right this season, making his current price tag quite affordable.

Target No. 6

Another great target at the wide receiver position is D.J. Moore. He is another player projected to be the No. 1 option on his team, but he is not being drafted until the sixth round. Since it is so difficult to find bargains among players who could get a 20% target share, he represents a good value right off the bat.

Add to his potential target share the fact that Moore is an extremely dynamic receiver entering his second season in the league when receivers often take a huge leap, and Moore represents another potential league-winner. Of course, it is not a certainty that he will make huge strides this season, but he has looked great by all accounts. If Cam Newton stays healthy, Moore and fellow Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel could both represent excellent draft values.
