2020 NFL Mock Draft: Tua Tagovailoa heads to South Beach
By Brad Weiss
The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team to keep an eye on this season, as they will be without two-thirds of the Killer Bs for the first time in years. While Le’Veon Bell sat out last season, Antonio Brown was a key piece to their offensive puzzle, though he now dons the Silver and Black of the Oakland Raiders.
JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner can fill the voids left by these two great players, and the Steelers should once again be a contender in the AFC North. Remember, they absolutely let the division slip out of their hands last season, and you can be sure that Big Ben Roethlisberger will be looking to prove to the world that he can win without the eccentric AB.
Looking ahead to the 2020 NFL Draft, the Steelers should look to add another young edge rusher to go along with the very talented T.J. Watt. One player to keep an eye on is Kenny Willekes from Michigan State, who is definitely a sack specialists, and plays the game with the kind of passion that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin loves.
Russell Wilson continues to be one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, and he proved that he could do so much, with so little in 2018, leading the Seahawks to an unexpected berth in the playoffs. Looking ahead, the Seahawks should once again be a Wild Card contender in a very tough NFC, but they will have to do something to bolster their offensive line in next April’s 2020 NFL Draft.
Duane Brown is signed on for the next few years, and he is a very good offensive tackle. In the first round in 2020, the Seahawks should look to bring in an offensive tackle that can start right away on the right side, and Trey Adams is viewed by many as one of the more NFL-ready prospects in this draft class.
The Seahawks did select Germain Ifedi in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, but they have already declined his fifth-year option, and he will be a free agent in 2020. That means Adams could slide right in and start alongside Brown, giving the Seahawks a nice bookend at the position moving forward.
