Linebacker. Oregon. Troy Dye. 27. player. 54.

The Philadelphia Eagles will head into the 2019 NFL season without their biggest safety net, as Nick Foles signed as a free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars this past offseason. For the last two seasons, Foles has stepped in late in the season for an injured Carson Wentz, leading the Eagles to two playoff appearances, and their first Super Bowl title.

The truth is, Wentz is more than a capable starting quarterback, and has shown, when healthy, that he can be one of the better signal-callers in the league. This is a team that is going to be one of the last ones standing in a very tough NFC in 2019, and they could possibly make another run to the Super Bowl.

When it comes time for the 2020 NFL Draft, the Eagles are likely going to be picking very late in the first round, and they should look to address their deficiencies on the defensive side of the ball. They need a standout linebacker to add to the position group, and in Troy Dye, they would be bringing in someone who can play all three linebacker spots, and is one of the better tackles in college football.

Wide Receiver. Oklahoma State. Tylan Wallace. 28. player. 13.

The Los Angeles Chargers are another potential playoff team that has a big issue on their hands, as they still do not know whether or not Melvin Gordon will play this season. In addition, they will be without 2018 Defensive Rookie of the Year Derwin James for an extended period of time, so it is anybody’s guess how they are going to rebound from those losses.

When it comes to the offensive side of the ball, Philip Rivers has certainly dipped into the Fountain of Youth, and continues to perform at a very high level. In 2019, he will be without his No. 2 wide receiver in Tyrell Williams, as he signed on with division rival Oakland as a free agent early in the offseason.

The Chargers will have to find a way to replace Williams, and they could do just that late in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Tylan Wallace from Oklahoma State went over 100 yards seven times last season, including multiple games with 200 yards, and based on his big-play ability, he would be a nice compliment to a steady performer in WR1 Keenan Allen in Los Angeles.
