The San Francisco 49ers will head into the 2019 NFL season with plenty of question marks, especially at quarterback. While Jimmy Garoppolo has shown signs that he can be a legitimate franchise quarterback at the NFL level, he has yet to prove he can stay healthy, which is a big worry for this organization going forward.

On the other side of the ball, the 49ers should be improved in 2019, but they are going to eventually need to get younger in the secondary. One area they could look to target in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft is cornerback, where a guy like Trevon Diggs from Alabama would fit this defensive backfield perfectly.

Diggs is a do-everything cornerback who could come in and fill the void that Richard Sherman will eventually leave in the secondary. Not only is he a good cover corner, but he is a very bright kid, and will easily be able to pick up the speed, and offenses at the NFL level. The 49ers could be a playoff team in 2019, but it is all up to Jimmy G.

player. 46. . Defensive Tackle. Auburn. Derrick Brown. 16

One of the bigger stories in sports this summer was the sudden retirement of Andrew Luck, who walked away from a potential $500 million in earnings. Only 29-years old, the injuries just eventually took their toll on Luck, and after an issue with his ankle and calf this summer, he decided that the love of the game was gone.

Now, Jacoby Brissett will take over under center for the Colts, who have the talent to be a playoff team in 2019, even without Luck. They have done a nice job building up this roster on both sides of the ball, bringing in quality young players like Quenton Nelson and Darius Leonard in recent years, and should be a force in the AFC South this season.

Heading into  the 2020 NFL Draft, the Colts may look to add to the defensive line, and luckily for them, there is some elite talent coming out next April. One name to keep an eye on is Derrick Brown, who could have been a first round pick last year, and with one more season under his belt, should be NFL ready from Day 1.
