FanDuel CFB DFS picks for the main Saturday, August 31st slate
By Matt Rogers
FanDuel CFB: August 31st 2019 Main Slate Summary
Alright, we’ve review top plays at the quarterback, running back, and wide receiver position. Unless you have a VERY good reason to do so, I recommend avoiding the tight end position. There’s just no upside from a TE play.
Our favorite quarterback for this slate is Ehlinger, but you do have man other options you can pivot into your lineup to make the other plays affordable. Fortunately, we also think using the Super FLEX position for another quarterback is your best option. Perkins is my favorite Super FLEX play on Saturday.
At the running back position, I’d love to play AJ Dillon against a questionable Hokies run defense, but I’m more likely to snag Vaughn for lower ownership against the Bulldogs and a sneaky cheap Robinson, a freshman likely getting more playing time than he should for the Tide.
Yes, there are so many top plays at the wide receiver position, but I love sticking with Vandy and snagging Lipscomb as my top pick, going with Johnson to stack the Longhorns top passing plays, and Grimsley, a cheap Hokie in a solid passing game.
Main Slate
Quarterback Sam Ehlinger ($10,400)
Running Back Ke’Shawn Vaughn ($9,200)
Running Back Keilan Robinson ($4,500)
Wide Receiver Kalija Lipscomb ($9,000)
Wide Receiver Collin Johnson ($9,600)
Wide Receiver Hezekiah Grimsley ($7,300)
Super FLEX Bryce Perkins ($10,000)
NOTE: This is a SAMPLE lineup only. In no way are we telling you, or selling you, to use this lineup. This is a summary of how we’d build a FanDuel CFB lineup based on the picks we already discussed for this slate.
