10. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

All eyes in regards to the Heisman Trophy and the Alabama Crimson Tide were on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and he undoubtedly delivered. However, with that and the fact that Nick Saban’s team faltered in the first quarter against Duke, it may have gone unnoticed that Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy did nothing but live up to the immense hype surrounding the pass-catcher coming into the 2019 season.

Jeudy couldn’t be stopped by the Blue Devils defense on Saturday afternoon, hauling in 10 catches for 137 yards and a touchdown on the day. He’s going to be a focal point of the Crimson Tide offense and the go-to receiving option for Tagovailoa throughout the season and, if this was the precursor for what’s to come, he’s likely to establish as the top contender for the award at wide receiver.

9. Zack Moss, RB, Utah

The Utah Utes thoroughly handled their business in the Holy War rivalry game against the BYU Cougars to open up their 2019 season. That certainly was the big narrative for the Utes as they looked the part of a contender to win the Pac-12 this year. However, lost in that narrative is the fact that Zack Moss was back healthy and looked as if he’s on his way to a monster season in the Utah offense.

Moss was an absolute workhorse for the Utes against their rivals, toting the ball 29 times in the opener. He was quite productive with those touches too, going for 187 yards and a score. While you’d like to see him find the end zone more often moving forward, the Utah defense is going to be dominant this season. That means plenty more work for Moss and, if he stays this productive, that translates to a monster season as a rusher.
