Slate Breakdown: While the price tag on Gerrit Cole is high today, I think his recent form and the context of the slate will require you to find a way to pay up for him and his massive ceiling. The fact that the SP2 pool is strong and relatively fair in terms of pricing, means you can get Cole with someone like Tanaka and still have $7.5K per batter on FantasyDraft.
With September here, rosters have now expanded which also means finding #FreeSquares should be easier each day as prospects and fringe players get a chance to shine. In the example above, slotting in a minimum priced OF like Braden Bishop and veteran slugger Jake Lamb ($5.6K), leaves you more than enough room to 6 man stack the Yankees with salary left to spare.
Best of luck all – enjoy your Labor Day and get ready because in a few days, we have FOOTBALL!
