4. St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals have one of the richest baseball cultures in the league. St. Louis loves baseball, and the city and franchise have been home to some of the most iconic names in the sport’s history. Fittingly, they have all worn one of the league’s best uniforms. Stan Musial, Rogers Hornsby, Bob Gibson, Albert Pujols, Lou Brock and Ozzie Smith have all worn the red and white Cardinals uniforms.

With their two red cardinal birds and baseball bat, the Cardinals jerseys make it crystal clear exactly who they are and what they do. The red color of the birds pops nicely against the white or grey background, and the script lettering just works perfectly. The red might be the brightest shade of red in the league and just pops out against the green of the grass.

St. Louis is represented on the team’s caps with a cursive S, small t and L. It is one of the more interesting takes in the league at putting city initials on a hat. It’s an interesting look, and is very memorable.

The team’s powder-blue throwbacks are also one of the best alternates in the league, and in another nod to baseball’s past, the Cardinals always seem to have at least a player or two wearing high, striped socks. All in all, there is nothing that doesn’t work with the Cardinals uniforms.
