5. Devin Singletary +3000

This is a fun bet that might be a really good bet to make. Devin Singletary is a third-round pick out of Florida Atlantic University. He joins a Buffalo Bills backfield that is absolutely stacked. LeSean McCoy comes in as the starter and “workhorse” back we’re all used to. Frank Gore continues to be ageless by playing his 15th NFL season at the running back position. Then there’s T.J. Yeldon, who is a very serviceable back himself, especially one that’s a fourth stringer.

Even with all that in his way, Singletary is still a great bet. All those options in front of him? McCoy is an injury risk, Gore can’t carry a full load himself and Yeldon might not even make it past final cuts. At the end of the day, it may be the rookie who becomes the star in that backfield.

Singletary could become the main guy in what’s going to be an interesting offense. Josh Allen has drawn comparisons to Michael Vick for his willingness to run. The Bills signed John Brown to be their number-one receiver and Cole Beasley to be their complimentary piece. This is a brand new offense that Singletary can fit right into.

Singletary didn’t get a ton of work in the preseason, which is a little concerning, but he has everything teams want in a modern-day NFL running back. He can miss tackles with the best of them, he has speed and strength, and he has breakaway ability. If things happen like they seem like they might, he will have the opportunity to make some real noise this season.
